The campus is internationally recognised for its teaching excellence and pioneering research in a wide range of areas including science, health, education, media and the humanities. The self-contained campus community creates a warm and welcoming student experience.
The brief was to provide furniture to create bright and welcoming spaces throughout the campus to encourage relaxation, study and collaborative working.
The staffroom was furnished with three seaters and square tub chairs upholstered in a medley of raspberry, teal and mustard with square pouffes in a complimentary patterned fabric thus creating an appealing environment for relaxation and informal dining.
A selection of low and high-level furniture was used to create visually interesting zones in the library area. Cosy high back booth sofas, tub chairs and drum pouffes were upholstered in soft coloured tweeds using sage greens, soft blues and lilacs in a variety of textures. High bench stools upholstered in lilac fabric with study chairs in soft blues brought the colour scheme together to create a relaxing ambiance.
The Psychology Student Hub consists of Soft L shaped sofas in a mixture of woollen textures positioned at the windows to make the most of the natural light and view.
Tub chairs extend the muted sunburst scheme in colours drawn from the sofas and have been positioned in corner areas.
Plectrum and bite shaped mobility study tables with contoured study chairs offer flexible working areas which are easily transferable. High booth seating in a combination of fabrics and textures created a private group area in a recess of the room.
