This new build project for the School of Arts & Drama at the South Eastern Regional College (SERC), was driven by the architect and their vision of using colour to aid creative stimulation. Our brief was to coordinate the furniture within this colourful canvas.
With a palette of citrus colours, we introduced cafe and bistro furniture within a communal area for both students and public interaction.
The Classrooms required a more calming influence and therefore the colour palette was more muted. This encompassed student task chairs along with classroom desks in a fresh combination of oak and white.
The Conference Room for staff and board members allows a formal or informal setting. Our aim was to enhance the use of the calming neutral colour palette by introducing a contemporary boardroom table solution. This table with its 'chunky' clean lines was complemented by extremely comfortable conference chairs.
Within the Reception Area our aim was to complement the cerise element within the carpet. The solution was the provision of a white contemporary 'Italian design' Reception Counter with a cerise pink overhang panel fitted with LED lighting.
